3 August 2015: What is The Edge and Lynda.com? Krissy Sinor, Training Coordinator at the Edge Community Technology Center of Springfield-Greene County Library District will present an overview of the numerous classes, videos and other information available at the Edge. She will also discuss the website, Lynda.com, which is offered free to library patrons at home or in the library. The site offers thousands of video courses in software, creative and business skills. Founded in 1995, the company produces video tutorials taught by industry experts. 7:00 p.m. at The Library Center.
12 August 2015: Research in Dade County & Thereabouts. OGS member, Thomas Hobbs, who is president of the Dade County Genealogical Society will present an update on the many records now available in their archives. In addition, he will discuss the ongoing microfilming of Dade County records which the organization is doing in cooperation with Dade County Officials and the office of the Missouri Secretary of State. 9:30 a.m. at The Library Center.
